Our Heartfelt Mission

Our clinical goal is to connect people with the part of them that knows. There is a robust and growing body of scientific evidence that suggests this place is the heart. By connecting deeply with the heart, we can move toward our intuitive knowing and heal our most difficult relationships – beginning with the one with ourselves.

Often in the healing process, we discover that there is a lot to unlearn in terms of our trauma-related core beliefs about self, others, and the world.  Before we can add healthy habits for growth, we need to acknowledge, grieve and heal from our traumatic experiences.  Many did not grow up in homes in which having and expressing feelings was acceptible.  Neglect, including emotional neglect, is more pervasive than we had the perceptual awareness to acknowledge as a culture in the past.  However, the echoes of trauma are everywhere.  The psychological community is only now in the first stages of acknowledgement that the origins of many of our mental health woes as a society are rooted in individual and collective experiences of trauma.
